Food, Drink and Exercise
Great food, classy joint, selling booze and exercise as well.
Location: 217 Uxbridge Road, W12 9DT
Description: Perhaps all your favourite Gastropubs rolled into one here...the 'Princess Victoria' is a 'charming' old boozer which goes against all the stereotypes!
It's not dark, cramped or indeed trapped in the past with three regulars and a pet terrier hanging around...no, this is a great pub that began as the grand old gin palace in 1829 and is anything but poky.
With magnificent high ceilings and generous light wells in the bar and dining area, this place emits class and cool! With unique period touches, a herb garden, a huge antique sideboard and many stuffed animal heads (admittedly not everyone's cup of tea), this pub really is special.
And of course with great food at reasonable prices and great drinks - the only downside is a bit of a walk from Shepherd's Bush - oh well... you could probably do with the exercise!
