Filthy MacNasty's
Musicians favourite boozer, where Doherty was thrown out.
Location: 68 Amwell Street, Islington, EC1R 1UU
Description: MacNasty's is a legendary musician's boozer, scene of many a Shane McGowan bender and impromptu jamming sessions for Brit acts.
Nick Cave, Johnny Depp have been spotted here, while former Libertine Pete Doherty used to work here and was allegedly thrown out for smoking a 'suspicious substance' in 2005. Pete once defined himself as 'firstly a poet from Filthy MacNastys and secondly a rock singer'. He is also rumored to have sold LSD to The Strokes here once upon a time.
Also it's the scene for many a trendy literary launch or reading.
