Description: And so it was - back in the day when comedians, comics and performers took their trade to wherever they could bring a laugh and make a lot of people even happier.

It was at this very location in 1978 that Tommy Cooper took his act to the good people of Heathrow.

Unfortunatley Cooper was going through a troubled period of his performning life and the show was not to be a success on this occasion - it transpires that he seemed a little underprepared for the gig with limited props and not a great deal of care and attention.

Just a bad night for Tommy... or perhaps he didn't like airports... who knows - but the man was still a genius!
