Location: Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London

Description: Here in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea are the Ranelagh Gardens, two hundreds years ago this was THE place to have afternoon tea.

For a fee anyone could stroll around the gardens, listen to live music, enjoy the spectacular rotunda, ornamental lake and Chinese Pavilion.

Here on June 29th 1765 the 9 year old Wolfgang Mozart performed his own compositions on the harpsichord and organ for a benefit concert in aid of a newly established maternity hospital.

Now the site of the annual Chelsea Flower Show.
