Lord Lucan's Murder House

Lord Lucan's Murder House

The scene of Lord Lucan's probable murder of his wifes nanny.

Location: 46 Lower Belgrave Street, London

Description: Here on Thursday, November 7, 1974, this six-story brick house in fasionable London, murder and mystery began. The 29-year-old nanny Sandra Rivett went downstairs to the basement kitchen to make some tea for her employer, Countess Veronica Lucan, wife of the Seventh Earl of Lucan. When she didnt return the slender Lady Lucan went to find her and was viciously attacked.

She stumbled out of the house and across to the Plumbers Arms where she burst in and said Murder, murder! I think my neck has been broken! Hes tried to kill me!

The nanny was found dead, and Lady Lucan was certain that the assailant was her husband, Lord Lucan.

Lord Lucan was never found.

Easy for you to say Val. That poor woman has been through hell, and attempted suicide herself. It certainly wasn`t here fault her husband gambled away the many millions he had. If he hadn`t been visiting the Claremont club each evening this disaster would never have happened. As for poor Sandra Rivett the nanny, she was an innocent pawn in all of this. I personally believe he is still alive, and too gutless to show his face. (John Naylor)

I read the theory somewhere that Lord Lucan was taken away by a light aircraft and that Damon Hill (the racing driver) father flew it, could anybody tell me were i would have read this?? (nicky piszko)

I think over the years the Lucan children have been poisoned against their mother by him - thats why they dont have anything to do with her, but she should have fought harder for her kids. (VAL LEDGER)
