Russian spy Kim Philby lived here in the 1950's.

Description: Kim Philby, lived here, he was described as the best spy the Russians ever had, and was part of the Cambridge spy ring of Philby, Burgess and Maclean.
In the 1940s they began working for British intelligence, and Philby rose in the ranks to be a respected member of the intelligence community. In 1951, under suspicion of being double agents, Burgess and Maclean disappeared, surfacing in Russia in 1956 as defectors.
When the net began to close in 1962, Philby skipped to Moscow where throughout his exile he continued to follow the cricket and take the Times each day.
He died in 1988, aged 76.
