The Bag O' Nails

Legendary 60s pub/club celebrity rock hangout.
Location: 9 Kingly Street, Soho, London
Description: This is where the famous Bag O'Nails pub used to be, legendary music venue.
This trendy basement is now Miranda, a private members club. But they'll never see a guestlist like the one at a Jimi Hendrix show here, which included Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Brian Epstein, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, The Hollies, the Small Faces, The Animals and Lulu.
Paul McCartney met Linda here (15th May 1967) while watching Georgie Fame & the Blue Flames perform.
Paul was at the club with Peter Brown and recalled: I saw this blonde across the room and I fancied her. So when she passed my table I said something stupid like, Hello, how are you? Let me take you away from all this.
Linda commented: It was like a cartoon. It sounds silly, but our eyes met and something just clicked.
Strangely this is also where Fleetwood Mac's John and Christine McVie first met.
Jimi Hendrix in fact played his first London gig here.
