Spike's House
It was here that Spike Milligan once resided - up until 1974.
Location: 127 Holden Road, Finchley, N12
Description: It was here - up until 1974 - that the madcap comic and comedy genious, 'Spike the raing moon mad Milligan' lived and indeed loved.
His Edwardian home was the one constant that he could rely on, splendidly located in its quiet tree-lined street.
However, it seems developers has their eye on the street and took it upon themselves to develop the homes into flats, and with all the noise and commotion....something that Spike could not abide - the man needed his sleep and space - he was one of the last to leave.
Pastures new beckoned for Spike, but this address should go down in British comedy history as a reminder of a man who changed comedy forever... in a good and madcap way.
