Description: This is the family home of the Waugh family and where novelist Evelyn Waugh (1903-1966) lived for several periods of his life. His father commissioned the house and they moved in in 1906 naming it Underhill.
The novelist and biographer is best known for his novels Brideshead Revisited, A Handful of Dust, and his war trilogy, Sword of Honour.
